Lena DunhamSlate has managed to get their hands on an email from Lena Dunham's literary agent, soliciting bids for the "Girls" creator's first book.

Bids, which start at $1 million, are said to be due by the end of Wednesday and will secure U.S. rights to the book.

The book, tentatively titled "Not That Kind of Girl: Advice by Lena Dunham" is a collection of advice-offering essays about sex, friendship, work and even eating disorders.

According to Slate's David Haglund, who read but didn't publish the detailed book proposal:

"In the intro, Dunham is self-deprecating about the idea that she has any wisdom to share, but says that if the book can help anyone avoid some of the mistakes she’s made it will be worth it. She cites Helen Gurley Brown’s Having It All as a kind of inspiration, even though she thinks much of what Brown specifically advised is totally nuts.

What’s to follow that intro, according to the proposal, are candid accounts of losing her virginity, trying to eat well (detailed diet journal included), obsessing about death, and so on, along with tips about how to stay focused on work, how not to ruin a potential relationship, and what have you. One section will recount various ways in which older men continue to be condescending and sexist, and will describe “the most awkward date ever with an older director.”

Dunham has previously published similar essays about love in The New Yorker and discussed losing her virginity in Tavi Gevinson's Rookie magazine.

And now Dunham's alma mater Oberlin College is even trying to cash in on the famous alum's writing. The college recently posted an ad looking for students to write for the alternative newspaper, simply stating, "Write for The Grape. Lena Did."

But Dunham's new million dollar base pay day seems to be on par with other celebrity authors, as Chelsea Handler also just received a seven-figure book deal to write a parody titled "50 Shades of Charteuse: This Time It's Personal," scheduled to hit bookshelves in October 2013.

But hopefully Dunham won't end up like Lauren Conrad, whose three-book deal with HarperCollins landed her novel in the bargain bins at book stores.
